SerendipIT is the evolution of an idea that started, simply, with making things work.
In the preceding decade, founder Jason Golding, found himself on the receiving end of many unique requests. Often those that had gone to other service providers and professionals, but received little support. Either the goals were not achievable, budgets were not respected, or the need fell into gaps between two or more specific technology disciplines.

Enter TechDawg. This was the brand under which these unique solutions fell. TechDawg was borrowed from a nickname (JayDawg) from Jason's very first job with the Hudson's Bay Company. There he started on the retail floor in Stationary, but quickly moved to Home Entertainment and the 1 Hour Photo Lab. Not only due to his natural ability and passion for technology, but also his ability to repeatedly repair the commercial photo development and printing lab operation, often finding solutions that allowed continued operation until contract technicians could arrive onsite.

Through the early years, TechDawg provided emergency support, off and onsite repair, custom PC builds, PC water-cooling, purchase consulting and several other unique requests. Mobile requests increased as device adoption evolved, and screen, board and port replacement was also offered along with our line of services for desktops and laptops. As our network grew, more consulting and remote support requests arose, and managed services were added to our service offering.

As these services evolve and technology became more integrated into our homes and offices, wider appreciations need to also evolve to better assess need, potential and impact. Technology has become SO accessible that we find ourselves thinking 'there's an app' for everything. And as often as there is, having an app for everything isn't always good, and we can find TOO MUCH technology just as frustrating as a lack of the right technology.

Our maturity is showing in our 'dad joke' name, but it's actually an expression of a genuine desire.

SerendipIT will continue to offer all the services and support provided previously by TechDawg, and we will be expanding our services to include more life focused solutions. We will utilize technology to help you find efficiencies in your workplace, optimize a fun league management or bridge that gap with a long lost friend or family member. Honestly, the needs are endless and solutions are being discovered and rediscovered everyday, and we plan to grow with those discoveries so we may help you continue to grow in this ever expanding world of potential.
